PEOPLE
Initiatives
An economy that works for everyone invests in the health, learning, and wellbeing of all people.
An economy that works for everyone includes quality jobs, access to healthcare, quality childcare, and other critical support systems that allow people and their families to thrive. When communities invest in health, learning, and overall wellbeing, they create the conditions for people to contribute their full potential. This approach strengthens families, neighborhoods, and our economy as a whole.

COMMUNITY JUSTICE NETWORK
The Community Justice Network provides direct services to people impacted by the criminal legal system, including those who are incarcerated. It also works to shift the narrative toward community safety, healing, and wellness—moving away from mass incarceration.

FM K-16 Collaborative
The FM K-16 Collaborative helps young people move smoothly from high school to college or a career. Through stronger partnerships across schools, colleges, and community organizations, the initiative aims to improve outcomes and expand opportunity for students across the region.

EARLY MATTERS FRESNO
Early Matters Fresno strengthens the foundation for Fresno County’s youngest children by focusing on maternal health and early learning, improving outcomes for Black women during pregnancy, expanding access to affordable, high-quality care, and training local residents as early learning professionals.

UCSF FRESNO
A growing number of diverse doctors in the region means better health outcomes for one of the unhealthiest parts of the state and, ultimately, a healthier economy. By increasing the number of local physicians, the UCSF School of Medicine Fresno Regional Campus is closing the gap in access to care.
