How do we track progress?
At Fresno DRIVE, our mission is bold: to come together as residents and community partners to build an economy that works for everyone. With transformational change like this, it’s important that our community can answer some big questions along the way:
Are we making progress?
Who is benefiting?
Where do we need to push further?
To help us answer these questions, we’ve developed a measurement and evaluation system that works across three levels:

PROGRAM EVALUATION
Our Measurement and Evaluation team works with initiative partners to track activities, outcomes, and the stories behind the numbers. We highlight achievements such as the 1000+ young people who completed work-based learning through Career Nexus, and the 10,000+ residents engaged annually by our Civic Infrastructure hubs. These actionable data help partners make informed decisions, refine strategies, and share the impact of their work.
Conditions for Change
Creating an economy that works for everyone takes more than effective programs. It requires partners actively fostering racial equity, community engagement, and cross-sector partnerships – key factors that contribute to better outcomes for all. Our team developed seven surveys to measure whether programs are shifting these and other conditions needed for an inclusive economy. Organizations in Fresno and beyond are invited to use the surveys to see whether their practices are advancing the strategies for big and lasting change.
FRESNO MOBILITY METRICS
This dashboard highlights public data across 28 indicators – including income, education, and health – to help us understand the factors shaping residents’ opportunities to succeed. Community members can explore the data to see trends over time, differences by race and ethnicity, and how Fresno compares to other communities. By showing both progress and areas that need attention, these metrics help the community work toward an economy where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
